Wyndham Grand Rio Mar — Ocean & River Courses
North Coast · Río Grandecourses/rio-mar-1.jpgOverview
Two very different rounds share one clubhouse at Rio Mar. The Ocean Course, designed by Tom and George Fazio, plays along more than a mile of palm-lined beach with elevated greens looking back at the mountains — its 16th, a seaside par 3, is often cited as one of the best individual holes in the Caribbean. The River Course, a Greg Norman design, winds along the Mameyes River at the foot of El Yunque rainforest, tighter and more tree-lined. Together with the resort's casino, water-park-style pools and kids' programs, Rio Mar is built for a golf trip that also has to work for the rest of the family.
