Bahía Beach, Grand Reserve and Rio Mar cluster in Río Grande, 30–50 minutes east; TPC Dorado Beach is a similar distance west along the north coast. You can play more than one course in a day trip from a San Juan hotel, but a resort base in Río Grande or Dorado saves driving.
Best budget round near the airport
Río Bayamón is a municipal 18-hole course about 15 minutes from San Juan with a large driving range and night golf. Caguas Real is about 17 miles south.
Cruise-day golf
Golf before the ship leaves needs planning. Río Bayamón is the simplest walk-up option. Fort Buchanan is close to the cruise port but restricted to eligible military players with tee times booked by phone.
